Guidelines herein address how to change camera settings to adapt from VR to MR applications, how to convert graphical user interfaces (GUIs) from VR to MR, and how to place graphical objects in MR environments. Accordingly, our primary objective in the current work was to present guidelines for Unity developers to convert graphical VR content to MR content in the Unity game engine. For improving the realistic accuracy of 3D film images, this manuscript introduces an Itinerant Pixel-Matching-based Stitching Process (IPMSP). The stitching process is common for displaying a large coverage or shot in a single frame containing distinct images. Image stitching in 3D film production synchronizes multiple independent frame images as a single high-resolution output. After stitching, we encode VR content for IP multicasting. Moreover, we achieved real-time stitching of camera and video streams up to 120 fps at 4K resolution. We tested our system on diverse image sets and obtained state-of-the-art geometric alignment. Secondly, we propose a geometric alignment method that outperforms state-of-the-art VR stitching solutions.

First, we propose a feature preprocessing method that filters out inconsistent, error-prone features. In this work, our main contribution is the improvement of stitching quality.
